My schedule has taken some twists and turns over the past few weeks and months, and I’ve had to work on my skill of adapting to that.
In an average week, I have to schedule time to do my job; to spend time with my girlfriend, my friends, and my family; to take care of any upkeep of myself and my living space; and to work on my creative projects (which are starting to intertwine). I’m sure I’m forgetting things, but that’s the main gist.
I’m inclined to focus on my creative projects because I want to make them successful so I can spend more time working on them (transparency is key), but every part of my schedule has its own importance and I don’t know if I’ve been appreciating that enough.
Life feels like it’s going super fast at the moment because of how busy I’ve been, but I realize that I need to do my best to immerse myself in the situation I currently find myself in so I can really appreciate where I’m spending my time.
I’ve also developed a plan for how I use my free time and it’s a three-pronged approach - creating, marketing, and investing. The idea behind that is its own post as well, but I plan to try to evenly balance the time I spend working in those three areas.
Right now, my free time use is a bit erratic and mostly focused on the creating side of things, but creating in a vacuum isn’t exactly productive. Enjoyable, sure, but not productive. I need to further develop and share my work for it to have more value.
It’s all a process and I’ll keep adapting my process to get where I want to go. To the process!
