The Way to the Cave The origin of this song came about through an online competition called Punchfest. I’ve competed in it more than a few times and this is what I created for the 16th competition on November 13th, 2011. The theme was vertical shooting games and I picked Dragon Spirit: The New Legend for the Nintendo Entertainment System as the game to cover music from, as it’s a game I’ve owned and enjoyed since my youth. The song is in an electronic metal style with some ambient touches and it’s a good example of where my sound is heading. It’s also the first song I’ve done in a long time that’s been short of the five minute mark. Give it a listen (and/or download) and I hope you enjoy!
