Dubyard Racer
I've worked hard to build this wreck
My hands are like weathered stones
Finding scraps from all the junkyards
To construct the barest bones
Breathing life into rusted metal
Was not a simple feat
Once I get this junker running
I will not suffer defeat
Behind the wheel at the starting line
Engine revving in pain
Waiting for the flag to drop
To race for monetary gain
I look around at my fellow racers
And see a landscape full of debris
But once I put the pedal to metal
My soul, it will be free
