One thing I've noticed since the end of the free for all of my early 20's, is, walking 15 minutes a day is good for shaving a good pound off a week for the first few weeks and maintaining a lower weight after the pounds stop sliding off.
When I walked to and from the bus stop everyday, then managed to have a job where I basically do low impact cardio for 6 hours, I dropped back down to 180, lost quite a bit of my beer belly, and had more energy. Now that I have a car and drive everywhere, I can definitely feel the difference. While I'm only a couple pounds heavier than my ideal of 180, I do oftentimes miss that extra bit of work a day it gave me.
I'll also say that I have pretty much cut sugar out of my diet. I have a vice of Energy drinks, but, that is all I will intake that has sugar in it. Sweets and soda have more sugar than my rockstar, and really if I could get that with just caffeine, I'd probably go for it. No sugar and lard "baked goods" has helped me keep the weight down now that I don't walk for 30 minutes a day.
